Happy Wednesday !

Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. I love all the decorations, the music, and the food! Who loves to cook for the holidays? I've stocked my pantry, ready for this weekend to begin preparing our yearly batch of Chex mix and Muddy Buddies. I remember growing up and making Christmas goodies with my mom. We'd slave in the kitchen all day, but it was always so much fun to make all the snacks we only treated ourselves to once a year.

We've finally finished putting up all of our decorations, but one of my favorite pieces that I pull out each year is this little porcelain Christmas tree. My parents have a tree like this too. I think it's why I love this tree so much. I would always pulls out the plastic-colored tips and switch them around, and I would often turn off all the lights except this tree and stare at it in the dark room.

The older I get, the more I cherish memories from my childhood and the time I've spent with my children making crafts and confections. I guess because my kids are getting older and starting their own families, it makes me appreciate the years my parents spent making memories with me. I hope someday my children will look back on things we did when they were younger and have fond memories they can pass along to their family.

As we enter the holiday season, I pray each of you will be able to make memories with loved ones!

Have a wonderful week!

Blind Date with the Hero

by Tara Grace Ericson

*Kindle Unlimited*

She’s on a series of blind dates, but all she can think about is her Secret Santa…

Alexis would rather skinny dip in a snowbank than make good on the bet she lost. Ten blind dates? As though the holidays weren’t hard enough, now she has to sit at awkward Christmas parties with men who were more likely to be intimidated by her military experience than infatuated. At least her Secret Santa was keeping things interesting.

K9 Specialist Jared Keen couldn’t believe his luck when he got his best friend’s name in the Secret Santa pool. After years of wishing he could tell Alexis how he felt, this is his chance to show her instead. At the same time, he just needs to convince her that their friendship can handle the pressure outside the friendzone, and pray that one of her ridiculous blind dates doesn’t derail his plan.
