Happy Friday !

It's been a busy week for me. I just returned home from Kansas City, Missouri, where my husband, daughter, and I were there for a volleyball tournament. I've never experienced cold like we had while we were there. The temperature was in the single digits, and the wind chill was -18 degrees when we left. While it was fun to see the city, it was too cold to enjoy it. Snow covered the ground from a storm a few days before we arrived, and it snowed the last two days we were there. I have to admit this Southern girl has never seen dry snow before. It's crazy how it just blew around everywhere, and people still traveled with no problems (for which I was thankful).

We left the negative temps and wintry weather only to come home to that same system heading to North Carolina. While it hasn't been nearly as cold in NC as it was in KCMO, we still had enough snow to cancel school for two days 🤣. Needless to say, this summer-lovin' gal is over the snow.

Recovering by the Sea

by Evangeline Kelly

*Kindle Unlimited*

only .99 cents right now

Two broken souls, one beach house, and a love that could heal them both.

Charlotte Monroe moved to L.A. to escape her mother’s overbearing control. When her friend, Laura, invites her to stay overnight at the beach house she shares with her brother, Jordan Reid, Charlotte accepts, eager to enjoy a weekend away. When she meets Jordan, she’s struck, not only by his handsome looks, but also by his extreme shyness.

Jordan has perfected the art of keeping people at arm's length. His childhood wounds from his mother's abandonment have kept him from making meaningful relationships. But Charlotte’s vibrant spirit and genuine warmth slowly chip away at the walls he’s built around his heart.

After a terrible accident leaves Charlotte with a broken leg, she has no choice but to stay with Laura and Jordan while she recovers, and she begins to see a different side of the quiet man who seems to hold so many secrets. What starts as admiration grows into much more.

With Jordan's deep-seated fears of abandonment and Charlotte's own struggle for independence, can their relationship survive, or will their pasts keep them from the love they so desperately desire?

*This is a contemporary Christian story with strong Biblical themes and Bible references.
