Happy Wednesday !

Have you read the Finding Home series? Hopefully, you're getting this email because you've already downloaded (and hopefully read) the prequel novella, Where the Heart Is. Several years ago, I wrote a bonus chapter for this series.

*Spoiler Alert*... this chapter takes place after the books A Half Made Whole and When I Found You.

I thought it would be fun to send this to my readers, as tomorrow is Halloween, and many families I know attend fall festivals and trunk-or-treat events with their families. This may or may not be loosely based on real-life experiences with my family back in the day. šŸ˜‰

If you haven't read the whole series, you can find the order of books with the links to purchase at the bottom of this email.

Have a wonderful week!

imageMarissa will do a lot for a free cookie, even go on a blind date.

Her date Scott smelled like cinnamon rolls and made her laugh. But even cookies have limited power. When Scott asked about a second date, Marissa knew it was time to bolt.

Marissa’s only relief is she lives hours away and can pretend this evening never happened—until she goes to work to find her job is under new management ... suit wearing, cinnamon smelling, Scott management.

Scott's future was carefully planned, and dating wasn't included. At least not until he met Marissa. Her sunny smile made him question everything he thought he wanted, but there were some secrets that even the best cookie couldn't fix.

Will these lost souls find love, or will all their plans get in the way?

imageFAKING A RELATIONSHIP COULD BE THE ROLE OF A LIFETIME.

Kat Sonnett wants it all: a fulfilling acting career, a thriving social life, and a love to share it with. One out of three is…pretty terrible. Too bad her schedule is too full to make any meaningful connections.

After a disastrous publicity stunt leaves her seething, Kat’s determined to reclaim control of her life. But to create a new narrative and untangle herself from her agent’s schemes, she’s going to need a boyfriend. Who knows? Maybe a fake relationship is the key to her perfect life.

Zach Worthy has a heart of gold and will move mountains for those he loves. When his mom got sick, he left a thriving business and a promising relationship to care for her. Now she’s better, but he’s single and struggling to keep his store afloat.

Amber:

When the health inspector shut down the diner I manage, I lost more than my paycheck. Suddenly, I’m standing in the wreckage of the life I’d been drifting through, with three hungry kids, a stack of my grandma’s recipes, and no backup plan.

I never planned to chase my own dream—but maybe I should. And apparently, Brett Walker thinks so too. He’s a gruff contractor, ex-military, and the last man I expected to offer help. His business proposal could change everything. The catch? We’ll be working side-by-side, day after day, and my sunny outlook seems to clash with his stormy moods… even as something warmer starts to take root between us.

Brett:

I came to Twin Waves to renovate a few properties, keep my head down, and move on. That’s what I do—fix things, then walk away.

But Amber’s not just another project. She’s stubborn, strong, and more capable than she realizes. And the more time I spend with her—and her kids—the harder it is to imagine leaving when the work is done.

She’s sunshine with a side of sass. He’s grump with a hammer. Together, they might just build something worth keeping.
