Happy October! My favorite time of year.
My last month has been incredibly busy. I had three weekends in a row of conventions and events. I was worried I would burn out, but I actually had a blast at each one! It's only reaffirmed to me that this is what I want to be doing fulltime. Can't wait to quit the day job and write all day and chat with readers :)
Salt Lake City FanEx was a lot of fun! Someone gave me a 3D printed spider carrying a book and I am IN LOVE.
Funnily enough, my booth was set up right across from Brandon Sanderson's booth, so that was an interesting experience haha. I also had the absolute joy to talk with a reader I'd previously met at a different event and signing new books for them. It was such a cool experience!
I also unexpectedly had a lot of fun at Wyoming's Pop Culture Con, which was much smaller, but the people were just as much fun to talk to. My next event is next weekend, Oct 23rd-25th: Mile Hi Con.
Editing Wild Fyre continues to progress slowly. I am rewriting the end of the book and adding in some new scenes, so if you've been reading along with the Patreon or Royal Road version, the final draft will definitely have some new content.
In other writing news, Tapas is shutting down. I doubt anyone here reads my books through Tapas, as only A Little Salty is on that platform, but as a result I'll be getting my rights back to that book, which means I can start to work on an NPSeeds Saga omnibus of the whole series! The cover for the omnibus is currently in work with the artist Ve, who you can find here.
I'm really excited to see what it looks like once it's all colored in!
I'm also working on finishing the typography for the Wild Fyre cover. Stay tuned! I'm hoping that will be done next month.
I've been reading through the results of the survey I linked last month, and all of your support has been so sweet! The biggest area of feedback I've seen is that y'all would love a place to support me that ISN'T connected to Amazon, and I hear you loud and clear. I'm in the process of trying to get my books into libraries, physical bookstores, and also online stores such as Square or Etsy alternatives (because yeesh has Etsy gone down the drain in recent years) so you guys can order signed books directly from me. No promises, but hopefully all of that will be set up before the end of the year?
And that's about all I've got for you this time. I'm fully enjoying the autumn weather right now (and Boba is enjoying not having to dodge heat stroke) and am looking forward to some pumpkin carving and haunted corn mazes later this month.
Creepy and cozy wishes to you all!

This Is The Section Where I Promote Other Authors!
I've only got one title to promote this week, but I'm absolutely tickled by the premise. Want The Frog Prince but it's gay? Dezmond has you covered!
