FALL IS HERE! About time.
This week I've got some updates for you pertaining to book progress, in-person events, and an opportunity to help me decide what book I should write next.
First off, I have officially FINISHED the first draft of Wild Fyre, the final book in the Fyre trilogy. Now I need to start drilling into the edits, then I'll send it off to beta readers, and finally my editor. If you haven't already sone so, you can sign up to be an ARC reader for that book when it's about to release!
And that leads me to my next subject: Book survey! As I'm getting closer to the end of the NPSeeds Saga, I've been noodling over what I want to write next. I have a lot of ideas, so out of curiosity I thought it would be fun to see what YOU want me to write! Every question in the survey is optional, so feel free to fill out all of it or none of it. It also asks how you found me, and if you'd like for me to do a con in your area, so this is your chance to have some input on where I should go and what I should write.
Everyone weekend (including this one) through the first week of October I will be attending conventions, which might be a little too much even for me, hahaha. But I really enjoy meeting readers face to face, so if you're in the area, I'd love to see you! Below is a list of all the other events I currently have scheduled through the end of 2026:
Oddity & Bizarre Expo: Colorado Springs, September 19-20
FanEx: Salt Lake City Utah, September 24-26
Wyoming Comic Con: Casper, October 3-4
MileHiCon: Denver, October 23-25
On another note, I am closing in on 10,000 lifetime books sold across all series, which is exciting! Granted I have 8 books out, so that's more like 1000 sales per book, and many of those have ebook, print, and audio, so when you look at a single format of a single book it feels a lot smaller, but STILL I am super stoked to be closing in on this goal! I hope to hit it before the end of the year. Fingers crossed!
Oh! One more update: I've contacted Daniel Henning about continuing to produce the last 3 Kanin audiobooks and he's on board! I might have to pay for that out of pocket since Podium doesn't seem interested in signing the rest of the series, but I've had readers asking, and I don't want to let them down :) If nothing else it will be a fun experience for myself to learn how to commission audiobooks directly from the narrator.
Side bar: If you know of any aromantic or nonbinary narrators who might be interested in working on Sal or Nye, please let me know!
That's all I've got for you this time. Happy Spooky Season!
