How to beat the algorithm š

Let's talk about the dreaded...algorithm!!
It's the reason all of our social content fails! It's the reason no one sees what we're posting. It's literally the root of all social media EVIL!
But is it really?
Here are my thoughts on how you can actually make the algorithm work FOR you rather than against you.
Step 1: Lean into what people on the platforms like. It's not stock photos or graphics (unless they're super sharable and relatable). It's pictures of you, your customers, your team. It's wins and stories and things people are inspired and motivated by.
Step 2: Read that first sentence in step one. It actually isn't about the algorithm at all! It's about the people on the platform. Your goal is to put out content that other people want to engage with.
Step 3: Remember this rule of thumb: Before posting or creating a piece of content, ask yourself, would I engage with this? If not, try to tweak something to make it more engaging. Some examples would be: ask a question, maybe change the wording, add a hook to your caption.
Here are a couple of videos I made about how to improve a piece of content:

Super easy content idea:
Use the ideas below to "beat" the algorithm next week! (I know you've got exactly what it takes!)

Content ideas for 1/31-2/4
February is Black History Month. While the front part of this week is still in January, itās a great time to get ahead on the month by thinking about incorporating Black History month into your social media postings, plus, the further out you can plan and schedule content the better!
Mon 31- New trend alert! Hereās what you need to do. Create a 7 second video of you doing..pretty much anything. Add text over the video that could be valuable to your audience. Find a short trending sound and let the algorithm do itās thing. Hereās an example of one I did: https://www.tiktok.com/@keehartmarketing/video/7056822327388065070?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc&web_id6903544320680019462
Tues 1- #ChineseNewYear If relevant to your business, you should definitely celebrate important cultural holidays. A visit to the Chinatown closest to your area or learning more as a business about the traditions and decor used during this holiday will make for an informative and supportive video!
Wed 2- #GroundhogDay This Reel could be silly or informative. Gathering facts about Groundhog Day and picking out a few stock photos of Punxsutawney the Groundhog and setting it to music, wishing your followers a Happy Groundhog Day and (hopefully) a shorter winter!
Thurs 29- Transitions can really make a Tik Tok or Reel that much more interesting. Pick out a sound that supports at least one transition and save it to your saved sounds. Go back to your saved sound and start watching videos created for this sound to get some ideas and brainstorm how you can manipulate the sound to send your own personal business message. If you need help, let me know! Hereās an example of an easy transition: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CYmnqi6DjBN/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
Fri 30- Remix! The best part about social media is that itās super social, and the algorithm likes it when you interact with others and build your community. If you have been on IG for a while, think of a similar business account that you feel is doing well with their Reels. Scroll through their Reels tab, pick the one you think you could re-create, select the three dots in the right-hand corner, and tap on Remix Reel. Have fun making friends!
