What is your network worth?

When was the last time you spent time intentionally connecting with new people?
As business owners, growing our network is one of the most important things we can do. I've even heard people say "your network is your net worth".
But since COVID, networking events, conferences, even working in person has been almost obsolete.
I want you to take a look at your schedule and make sure you are adding time in there specifically for meeting new people. If you're not comfortable meeting people in person yet, network online. Facebook groups, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and Tik Tok are great places to network. Send people DMs inviting them to a virtual coffee connection. And get excited about adding new people to your circle!
Speaking of events, I'm speaking at an event tomorrow at 10 am. This week and next week, San Antonio is putting on San Antonio Start Up Week. It's a great event to learn and network at.

Content ideas for 10/18-10/22
It's the month of freethought, and what a wonderful thing to celebrate! Social media content creation is a great place to let your thoughts run wild and get the creative juices flowing. Take basic ideas this week and work on expanding, exaggerating, and evolving the content you create to speak for your brand on a personal and social level.
Mon 18- #ChocolateCupcakeDay "I like you, have a cupcake." It's such an easy thing to say to the camera, and it just so happens to be a trending sound on IG right now. Type "I like you have a cupcake" into your music selection in your Reels editor and choose the version you like the most. Make it relevant to your e-biz and type in the hashtag. Tues 19- #EvaluateYourLifeDay Telling your entire journey in a Reel has become so easy to do. Using any meaningful song set to important photos or video clips with text bubbles to tell the story works well. I recommend scrolling through others' Reels under the explore tab and finding a suggested song in the algorithm that's trending.
Wed 20- The third full week in October is National Business Women's Week. This is a great initiative to get in on if you are a woman in business to celebrate women working throughout history. If this is relevant to your e-business, create content around what it means to you and reach out if you need any help getting started!
Thurs 21- Concoct an IG vs. Reality scenario that directly relates to your business. Something that can get a bit messy but always turns out in the end. The variations on this idea are endless based on the business category. The greater the contrast of events, the better. Use a great hook in the text at the beginning of the video for more visibility.
Fri 22- End this week of freethought strong by brainstorming at least 3 of your own Reel ideas. Use the best out of the three and save the other two for upcoming weeks. The Reels explore tab is a great place to spend a few minutes per day watching and researching what others are doing and what is working. This research is an excellent time for listening to different sounds and songs and using the save tab on the Reel to use later. This helps keep a small list of Reels ideas in your saved music, and you can go there when you need some inspiration on what to post. I'm always available if you need some inspiration.
