Tik Tok Trends 9/12
Sep 12, 2022 3:08 pm
Hello ,
As usual, there has been a lot going on in the media these days. Along with yesterday being Patriot Day, you mind find yourself wondering "is this something I should create content out of?".
Of course, I am not a PR or media crisis expert, but I'm happy to share my rule of thumb when it comes to what days should we recognize, what media excitement or uproar should we align ourselves with, and when should we just stay quiet.
Here are some questions to ask yourself:
- Is this something that I stand behind so much that I can't stand the thought of not responding to it?
- If yes, am I ok potentially losing the business of current or potential customers over it?
- If this went absolutely viral, would I still stand behind it? (Do not believe that all press is good press, especially if it's your first impression).
- And if it's a holiday or day or recognition- is this something that represents and aligns with my brand and what we stand for?
It's not always easy to know what the right thing is to do. I suggest listening to your gut and remembering that any strong opinions you post as your brand (and even as yourself) could impact your reputation.
Happy posting!
Here are some trends for Tik Tok this week:
Level: Easy
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTR59pMpM/ welcome to the side of Tik Tok where we... put a video showing you doing something that supports your side of Tik Tok. Add text on the screen that makes your ideal customer comfortable and supported. https://www.tiktok.com/@strivewithdallas/video/7141371967654972715?_t=8Vcj5mD2PLn&_r=1
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTR5xepfK/ "Can we skip to the good part" but with a little transition part. Great for showing client wins, befores and afters or telling your brand story https://www.tiktok.com/@fayevideodiaries/video/7142394389199932698?_t=8VchTZWFw5e&_r=1
Level: Medium
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTR593h7a/ **This sound is explicit** Great transition sound! Mouth the words and when the beat drops use a green screen to show what you did that's so much better. Share client results or after of products or services ex: https://www.tiktok.com/@sydneyonsocials/video/7141020136126942506?_t=8Vcj7gS8GYl&_r=1
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTR59Gy34/ Use this trend with 2 characters (could be you) they are staring at each other. add text on the screen that shares a conversation they're having silently. it's usually one of tension. In the end it shows them giving in. https://www.tiktok.com/@brookemonk_/video/7141142377867021611?_t=8VcjbNmc166&_r=1
I'm going to leave these tutorials here because I think they could be helpful:

https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRADKnsp/?k=1 - Step 2- Editing text and video
