{{contact.first_name}}, how's the weather there?
Feb 24, 2021 8:00 pm
Hello Sunshine!
That's what we are saying again here in San Antonio, TX! It's so crazy how quickly this weather flipped for us. One minute, our houses are below 50 degrees, the next minutes it's 75 degrees outside and we're wearing shorts again.
This all brings me to an important point. Your social media channel is important because it gives you the opportunity to connect with your followers when things aren't "business-as-usual".
Ok sure Jen, so I'll just throw a post up when something important comes up and everything will be fine.
There's a problem with that strategy.
- If you're not working on actively growing your account, there's a good chance you won't be getting the message out to very many people.
- If you've been putting up content without a strategy, and people haven't been engaging, most likely, no one will see when you are posting something important.
So here's a quick fix:
Start planning out your content
Start actively engaging on the platforms
And start collecting emails/phone numbers for even more direct outreach.
And if you aren't sure where to start or what to do, that's why you're on my list. Let's talk about a strategy that will work best for your business. Reply back subject line HEEELLLPPPPP!!!!!
Let's switch over to some social media news you can use:
Digital Trends for 2021...yes, please!
Tech.co released a report about where the trends are going. And if you've read any of my emails or consumed any of my content you probably know...Tik-Tok and short-form video content. You can see everything they said here.
How much do influencers cost??
As a small business, partnering with influencers can feel daunting. Who, what, where, how, how much?? Here's my best advice: be kind, do your research (be sure they're a fit for your brand), compliment them, engage with their content, and be upfront about your expectations and intentions from the beginning. When working with small accounts you always have the option to offer gifted product in return for posts. But these people have something very valuable to you. So consider what they are bringing you (advertising, eyes) when they do charge. Here is a very detailed list of going rates per industry.
Hashtags for next week
If you've been here for a while, you know how important I think it is to stay up to date on upcoming holidays and hashtag holidays. It's a fun thing to create content around and tell a little more of your brand story. Here's what's coming for next week, 2/28-3/6. And with us embarking on a new month, head over to this site and check out the month ahead. Remember, you don't have to use all of them. Only use what's relevant.
