☕ The Tuesday Tea - Tea for the Mourning

Aug 30, 2022 12:45 pm

Dear ,

In Victorian England, death heavily influenced tradition. Widows wore black for a full year after their husbands died, changing to dark purples and grey for the year after. They stayed away from most social functions, as well. An exception was the Mourning Tea, a picnic of sorts held in cemeteries at the headstones of their dearly departed.

There are so many delicate and beautiful teas we prepare during summer, but for mourning tea, I think I'd want something somber, stronger, like Lapsang Souchong, Pu’erh, or for the sake of setting a mood based on name alone, Pinhead Gunpowder. What flavor would you choose?

Saying Goodbye ... to a Series

For reasons unknown, my first two attempts at book 3 in the Designer to the Dead series were a disaster. Too rushed. Too complicated. Too many failed attempts at being funny. Is anything worse?

My poor editor was so frustrated with me, she told me to scrap it and start over. Now, Creeper in the Sleeper is finally finished, and the series along with it.

Thank you so much for taking this journey with me. It's been a lot of fun getting to know you along the way. I hope you'll check out my future projects.

I am in the process of making edits to the titles that are already published in anticipation of Creeper in the Sleeper's release. Once republished, I'll re-enroll them into Kindle's subscription program. Please keep an eye on your email if you'd like updates.

Want to get ready to read the finale? Start the series now on Kindle Unlimited.
