☕ The Tuesday Tea - Teas for Summer Healing

Jul 26, 2022 9:01 pm

Dear ,

I hope summer is treating you well. For me, I'm switching into fall mode. I'm tired of the bug bites, sweaty, skinned knees, and weeds, weeds, and more weeds. Bring on the cool breezes and fall leaves!

Top Teas for Pain Management and Inflammation Control

Chalk it up to bad luck (or fatigue) but I've had more than my fair share of bumps and bruises lately. Ginger, rooibos and turmeric are soothing teas that may help. As always, pay attention to your body's needs when evaluating how a tea impacts you. When in doubt, talk to a doctor!

You can make fresh ginger and turmeric tea by slicing the respective roots and steeping for five to ten minutes. There are also several commercially available options with delightful and complex flavors for times when rest is priority #1. For instance, Celestial Seasonings Jammin’ Lemon Ginger, Twinnings Pure Rooibos Red and Traditional Medicinals Turmeric are relatively easy to find and easy to prepare.

Sweet Dreams

by Beth Dolgner

The guests at Eternal Rest Bed and Breakfast aren’t always living.

Emily never intended to run Eternal Rest Bed and Breakfast alone. Well, she’s not really alone, but the ghosts can’t help her clean rooms or get breakfast on the table every morning. Scott had helped with those things, but his fatal car crash has left Emily overwhelmed and overworked.

When a new ghost checks into Eternal Rest, things start to get dangerous for Emily’s guests, and she begins to dream about a violent death. To make it even worse, the ghost is singling out the handsome new assistant she just hired.

When a body is discovered in a shallow grave in the old cemetery next door, Emily begins to wonder if her assistant had something to do with it. Did she hire a murderer, and will she be his next victim?

Emily enlists the help of her best friend, the psychic medium Sage, to track down the truth. The only mystery Emily can’t solve is whether her husband’s crash was really “just” an accident, and why he might not be resting in peace…

Tea Anyone?

by S.R. Mallery

How do two modern, quirky, twenty-something gals solve murders in a small, cozy USA town?

Easy. With a little time travel, some humor, and a lot of hard work. When the skeptical Brooke first meets the psychic Abby, she’s not impressed. But with the help of her comfort cat, her middle-aged roomie, her childhood friend, and a hunky detective hinting at a sweet romance, Brooke not only accepts that Abby has real gifts, it’s clear that these five people and one cat make up a crack team.

Got tea, anyone? In 1773, the Boston Tea Party sure did. Find out why going back in time helps break the case!

Until next time,

Katie O'Keene ☆
