☕ Tuesday Tea - Hair of the Dog

Dear ,
Werewolves. They've never been quite as popular as the vampire, but when it comes to gritty detectives, they have the upper paw. My husband and I have been working on an urban fantasy series starring Rock Johnson, werewolf detective. Warning: It's ... a little naughty.
We've just released our first book, so I switched up this month's drink in order to celebrate!
Hair of the Dog - Bloody Mary
Way back in the day, local healers would encourage dog bite victims to rub some hair of the dog that bit them on their wounds to ward off infections. It wasn't very effective. Neither is the 'hair of the dog' remedy that's popular today, but it doesn't stop optimists from trying to alleviate their hangovers with more of what caused them.
However, a refreshing and nutritious morning drink is going to do wonders for you over a shot or cold, watered down beer. Here is a rare alcoholic drink recipe for an old favorite, the Bloody Mary.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup Spicy Tomato Juice
1 1/5 fl oz Vodka
2 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
1 dash Hot Sauce
1 stalk Celery
Salt and pepper
Sea salt
Ice
Instructions:
Add the juice, sauces, and booze to a jar or cocktail shaker.
Shake as long as your head can stand it.
Strain.
Wet the rim of a glass and press into sea salt to coat.
Fill with glass with ice and pour in Bloody Mary mix.
Add salt and pepper to taste and celery (or green olives) for garnish.
Pairs particularly well with bacon and eggs.

Rock Johnson to the Rescue!
Enjoy a humorous, hardboiled detective series from husband-and-wife writing duo, H.D. Welliver, perfect for fans of urban fantasy and werewolf books for adults. (Warning: swearing, sexual innuendo and some violence!)
Until next time,
