This is an AMAZING book! Also, I just realized I pushed it aside so I'd have room to stretch out and turn on Netflix. #awarenessisthefirststep

The Moore Theatre ceiling

Had a great time with my sister at @themonkees farewell concert last night! Performer sidenote: I can't even imagine how hard it is to play for almost three hours when the smiles and songs of the audience are covered and you're looking out at a sea of glasses and paper faces. Must be like performing on another planet for aliens. (I heard a performer once say looking at all the glasses through the glare of the stage lights is like looking out upon a sea of ice cube trays.) So much of performance is that magical give and take. But I'm glad live music is back and I am happy to wear a mask to keep everyone safe. Get vaxxed, people, so that someday we can all gather in a room and see each other's smiles again.

Back in June 2019, we were supposed to see The Monkees. Well, tonight is the night! Listen, if you want to see them, they've said over the years that it was their last tour. But I think this actually is going to be the last one, so go get a ticket!
