March Happenings

Hello, Everyone!
Well, March is roaring in like a lion! And I'm not just talking about the weather! Wanted to let you know about a couple of really cool things happening this month. Hopefully one of these is in your neck of the woods!
March 1 - Birmingham, AL
Two shows! One night only! If you're in Birmingham, AL, head on over to the Encore Theatre and Gallery & Michael's Restaurant for the world premiere of my play, Late Shift. This is a fundraiser for an amazing theatre with incredible talent (just look at this video and tell me you couldn't just watch them all day). If you can't go but want to support them, here's there official site where they gladly take donations - https://encorebham.org/
March 5 - Bellingham, WA
A million years ago, I started doing research on a woman named Lou Graham. She was a "Founding Mother" of Seattle, but because of her trade, she has been erased from the history books. This story was first a musical and then a radio show and then... relegated to the drawer. But Bellingham TheatreWorks discovered it, dusted it off, and said, "We think there's something here." So, come on out! Madam(e) will be getting its first reading Sunday, March 5 at 5:30 p.m. Come hear my baby play!
March 10 - Seattle, WA
Excerpted Readings by Seattle Theater Writers
If you're attending the Association of Writers & Writers Programs Conference in Seattle, I'll be moderating a panel of playwrights. We'll do some short readings, then talk about how we got into the field and how YOU can, too! Catch us Friday, March 10 at 1:45 p.m. in room F203
March 17 - Olympia, WA
PROFESSIONAL WORLD PREMIERE
Well, if you've been following me for awhile, you know that this play has a long and storied past. It's a 1930s screwball comedy and the first full-length play I ever wrote. It had a world premiere at Northern Michigan University when it won the national Panowski Playwriting Award, it had a Canadian World Premiere when reader-fan-director-extraordinaire Patty Ram championed it at Grande Prairie Live! Theatre, it had a show at GTC Burbank that I actually got to be in, and now it's getting its PROFESSIONAL World Premiere at Harlequin Productions! I'll be there regularly, but definitely for the reception opening night and the talk-back March 19 after the show. Grab a ticket and come say hello!
Aaaand... I think that's it! If you want to catch more insider glimpses, hop on over to my Instagram where I'm trying (keyword: "trying") to record all the fun behind the scenes adventures!
Until next time!
