Hello, everyone, and welcome to another addition of my newsletter! An infrequent thingie that I often forget to send out. Sorry about that... If you ever are like, "What is Kate up to??" hop on over to the news section on my official site at KateDanley.com.
For those of you who are Spirited Manor fans, the stage adaptation at Bellevue College, directed by Tammis Doyle, was absolute pulpy fun! Look at that puppet! So dreamy!

And, yes, the fingers were articulated and the hands could open and shut. How cool is that??
Next weekend, I'll be headed out to Spokane. My short play, THE INTERVIEW, s part of the 33rd Bryan Harnetiaux Playwrights Festival June 15 - 18 and I'll be there June 17 to speak on the 10:00 a.m. panel if you're into those sorts of things.
My shorts, Socks and Staging, will also be having some June fun at Drunken Owl at the Jules Mae Saloon June 24 & 25 in Seattle, WA. Socks is a short I wrote a million years ago when I was producing a sketch show in Los Angeles called Hair of the Mangy Dog. It's since had a life in London, North Carolina, Minnesota, and others. Meanwhile, Staging has never been done before. SO! Something old! Something new! Grab a ticket and I'll see you!
And if you're in the Oregon area, Working for Crumbs, will be having a workshop in Salem at Theatre 33 next month! More details to come!
Oh! Did I mention? Working for Crumbs had a great run at The Space in London last month, directed by Cecilie Fray (Assistant Director- Moulin Rouge!, West End) and produced by Estelle Homerstone (Producer - Showstopper the Musical, West End). The audience just kept growing and growing every night until we had to add chairs! And guess what? We were nominated for TWO (not one. TWO!) Offie Awards (That's the Off West End Awards), which is pretty fancy. Watch this space! More fun to come!
If you'd like to see my recent adventures in London, hop over to my Instagram account at https://www.instagram.com/danleykate/. I was slightly better at keeping things updated.
Well, I think that's it for now! Until next time, be excellent to each other!
