Happy Opening!

Happy opening to Walkersville High School in Maryland! Last night, they opened a production of my penny dreadful A Spirited Manor. And did they have spirit or what?? They actually made a float for their homecoming parade!!
They say it's great to see your name in lights, but there is no high like seeing your name on a handmade-with-love float!
Even the windows are cut out to look like coffins!
Many thanks to Terra Schaden-Ireland for making this all happen! And to Michelle Dacey (pictures below) who went to see the show last night with her nieces and reports back that they had so much fun!
What else is going on? Well, I'm sad to report an end of an era... I've been participating in a series of anthologies with other NY Times and USA Today bestselling authors called "Once Upon...". We would take a fairytale and rework it based upon a story theme. And I'm afraid that after many wonderful years, these anthologies are about to go out of print. But it is good news for you! They are only 99-cents apiece! I have stories in Once Upon a Kiss, Once Upon a Ghost, and Once Upon a Bite.
And if you need a little Maggie Halloween fix, The Ghost and Ms. MacKay is here for you! It's a Holiday Short(ish) Story Special (clocking in around 40+ pages). Maggie's mom decides to throw a haunted house. A REAL haunted house.
Here's to a howlingly good weekend! Happy fall, y'all!
