Voting Needs No Credit Card

Hello, Everyone!
I've gotten a couple emails from folks asking why BroadwayWorld needs their credit card to vote, so I reached out to BW to find out what the heck?!
Here's what they said:
BroadwayWorld will never ask for your credit card details in order to vote in the Regional Awards. NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO VOTE. Any advertisements for a trial or other credit card solicitation is NOT us, nor required to vote. If you click on one of these, please send us the link.
SO! Sounds like some savvy advertisers figured out how to work the popup system. You should be able to close the ad if you look for an "X" in one of the corners.
The final page is just a form that asks for your name, email address, and to create a password. Everything else is optional (it asks if you want to sign up for a newsletter and then there is some optional demographic information. You can say "no" to all of it.) When you press "submit" it will send you an email to verify your vote (click on that link so that vote counts.) If you are asked for a credit card, it's a lie.
