July Update

Hello, Everyone!

Summer is upon us and I hope everyone is staying cool! I mean, look at you. You are already the EPITOMY of cool. But I hope that the temperature is lovely around you, too.

A couple things happening this July I thought I'd share. If you're in the Salem, OR, area this weekend, Theatre33 is offering a staged workshop of Working for Crumbs. Though this great cast will have scripts in hand, there's costumes, set, lights, music, blocking, stunts (did I let that one slip?), and all the fun! We open tomorrow and I'll be at all the shows to hear your feedback! Come help shape the future of this play!

Second off, if you have been waiting to pick up a copy of The Woodcutter or have a friend who might enjoy reading it, guess what? My publishers have decided to run a Kindle sale during the month of July for folks in the U.S. Yippee! It makes a great (affordable) gift. Just choose "Buy for Others," input your friend's email, and an e-copy will be whisked to their inbox for a happy surprise! And if you don't have a Kindle, there's a free Kindle app that allows you to read any Kindle book from the comfort of your favorite phone or tablet.

And if you know and love The Woodcutter, would you consider dropping a few kind words on its product page? It helps more than you can ever imagine!

And finally, at the end of June, Drunken Owl here in Seattle produced a seat-of-your-pants production of my short, Staging, which has never been done before. And guess what? They made a video of the performance. It's silly and goofy, but its so rare I get to share productions with you. So, click through if you want a laugh!

OH! And are you headed to New York this summer? Make sure to swing by the Museum of Broadway! Our family are proud supporters (look for our name on the wall when you come in! We're there!) and they just opened up a new, temporary exhibit about Chicago for any of you Ann Reinking / Bob Fosse / Chicago fans!

I think that's it for now. Hope you have a wonderful July! Stay hydrated, my friends!
