Hey! Hey! UK! I've got a lot of good news for you today!
(And a lot of news for everyone else, too.)
ART!
One of the discoveries during lockdown was this amazing repertory company called The Director's Cut. Every Monday, I've sat down with them from the other side of the globe and written some plays. These plays are then given to their actors and directors, and we all get to create some art.
Well, this weekend, one of my new short plays is going to be in Art from the Heart at the Southwark Playhouse! Here's all the details:
Presented by The Director's Cut Theatre Company

‘Art from the Heart’ is an evening of short stories by artists, sharing their art through their heart. Funny, dark and poetic, Art from the Heart steps into the soul of what it means to be an artist, revealing an insight into the highs, lows, shapes and patterns of this ever changing, ever evolving journey. With artists speaking directly to you, Art from the Heart is a mix of live art and new writing . Stories told are based in truth, from personal experiences, to meaningful messages, questions and provocations, we share themes of our human experience; the inspiration behind all creation and story-telling.
All pieces created and shared are by members of our professional artistic community – The Directors Club, The Actors Club and The Writers Club. Produced by Director’s Cut Theatre Company – directorscuttheatre.co.uk
