Art from the Heart

For the past two months, I've been spending my Mondays as part of a theatrical rep company out of the UK. It's been such a gift to write and collaborate with such an incredible group of artists! We write on a Monday and provide the scripts that they directors and actors use to strengthen their craft on Thursdays and Fridays. For the most part, these are all private affairs, focused on growing ourselves as artists.
But TODAY (Friday, April 9), we have a little hour long show called Art from the Heart. And then Wednesday, April 14, we have an "End of Term" show called Somewhere Out There where I was challenged to write something specifically for two actors to highlight their strength. Both start at noon (PDT) / 7:00 PM (GMT) and are as easy as pressing a YouTube link!

Art from the Heart is an evening of short stories by artists, sharing their art through their heart. Funny, dark and poetic. Stories told are based in truth, from personal experiences, to meaningful messages, questions and provocations, we share themes of our human experience; the inspiration behind all creation and story-telling.

Somewhere Out There is a collection of 30 short films written by members of The Writers Club, performed by members of The Actors Club and directed by members of The Directors Club, as part of the end of term films for Spring 2021. Subscribe to our channel on YouTube – Directors Cut Theatre Company – to watch the show at 7pm (GMT) Wednesday 14th April 2021 and join in the live commentary as the show goes on!
