Happy Valentine's Day to those who celebrate! My neck of the woods is all socked in with the first big snow of the season. And by "big snow", I mean over the course of two days, we've gotten *checks outside the window* almost enough to reach the bottom rim of a hubcap. Enough to look pretty, not enough to gum up the works too bad. Although, now that I've said that, watch a freak storm dump six feet of snow right on my head.

Life has been chugging along. While lockdown ain't no fun, one of the hidden surprises is an opportunity to connect with people from around the globe. I've been taking classes in London, New York, and San Francisco, and it's been a hoot. My newest guilty pleasure is an online virtual tour company called Broadway Up Close. It is a live presentation of the history and behind-the-scenes stories of Broadway theatres. It deep dives into the architects that built the spaces and all the crazy stuff that has taken place there in the past 100-years (did you know the folks who put together Hair did a follow up production where they ripped out all the seats of the theater and filled it with dirt to create hills for the audience to sit on. Who knew! Imagine navigating that in your tuxedo and heels.) If you need a little mental vacation, I highly recommend it!

If you're trapped inside today, though, thought I would let you know about the Maggie MacKay Holiday Special - My Maggie Valentine. It's a quick read (about 40-pages). I like to describe these side adventures as pure fluff, kind of like the "Very Special Holiday" episodes you find on sitcoms. They stand independent of the main story arc and can be read in any order. Enjoy some smiles and laughs!
