My goals for 2026 was 60 keynotes. I just booked #72. Here’s how I did it.
1. Set a clear goal Jan 1st.
2. Hired an executive assistant.
3. Did a daily keynote run through.
4. Consistently went the extra mile.
5. Stopped caring about the money.
6. Invested serious $$ into my assets.
7. Made the event planner feel at ease.
8. Focused on loving people in the room.
9. Prayed backstage before every keynote.
10. Treated the pre-event calls like the event.
11. Focused on being a friend to the audience.
12. Spent 80% of my time refining the keynote.
13. Went to visit 10+ speaking agents in person.
14. Built genuine friendships with other speakers.
15. Obsessed about getting to know the audience.
16. Responded to speaking requests within 3 minutes.
17. Worked on my cardio (this makes you better on stage)
I will probably do around 90 this year. (you never really know since some events book 2 weeks out!)
Which is crazy.
If you told me that in 2024,
I wouldn’t have believed you.
But I guess that’s what happens when you put your head down and work.
Sometimes, your action needs to be bigger than your belief.
If you’re reading this and are in the building phase of your career:
Keep going.
You have no idea how the effort you put in today…
Pays dividends tomorrow.
Happy Friday friends!
Your friend,
