Summer is always a busy time on the family ranch, and it’s also been a writing good time.
Time in Between, the sixth book in the Liberty Valley Love series came out in June.
Kitchen Witch is the story of Meteor Jamison, the shapeshifter who operates a bakery and catering operation in Eagleville around her witchy duties with her two sisters. Astra, her oldest sister was the heroine of Time In Between.
Kindred Spirits share the hijinks of Debbie Ramsey, the former soldier who bought the local riding stable outside of Baker City. It’s wonderful having the opportunity to connect with old friends, alive and dead in that town.
I finished up the Christmas novella for one of my young adult series, but I also had edits to do for the first two books in that YA series. I’ve made it to a few street fairs and festivals to sell books in person. That’s a wonderful adventure after staying home for two years.
In addition, summer means horse camp. I taught for two weeks in June and two more in July. There are four more weeks to go. The horses are loving the opportunity to see the kiddos and the carrots. Or else the carrots and then the kiddos!
So, how is your summer? What are you doing? Is it as exciting as mine?
It’s much more fun to write about cleaning the barn than actually shoveling out the stalls. Of course, when everything is done, I try to write for an hour or two, but only if I’m not totally exhausted. When I am, I curl up with the cat in the recliner and try to stay awake long enough to watch the news. It doesn’t always work. Sometimes, I have to wake up so I can go to bed.
