Happy Summer, !
We hope you've been out and enjoying the beautiful weather.☀️
Here are some tips to keep you and your family cool and safe this summer:
💦 Hydration: Are you sweating lots? Not only should you increase your water intake, but also add electrolytes to replenish the salts you are losing !
👒Proper Coverage: Protective accessories, such as wide-brimmed hats with airflow, can help keep your head and your overall body temperature cool!
🧴Skin Protection: Don't forget to apply sunscreen or wear UV protective clothing to protect against the harsh impacts of UV rays, especially to sensitive areas like the face and neck.
🏠Spend time in Shade: If you've been under the sun for while, spend time to cool off in the shade, indoors or in a breezy spot!

Exercise of the Month: Plantar Fascia Rolling 👣
Why is this important?
We walk on our feet, everyday! It’s easy to forget to take care of the part of our body furthest from our sight.
They are the foundation for the whole body, and determine how we load weight-bearing joints in our body such as the ankles, knees, hips and lumbar spine. This exercise is perfect if you have any foot condition, such as plantar fasciitis to ankle sprains or if you just want some happy feet!
All you need is a massage ball. A tennis ball, softball or golf ball can also be used a substitute. Let's dive in on Dr. Fu's favourite release:
Step 1
Standing up, place the ball under the left heel and begin rolling forward into the inner arch and under the big toe knuckle. Continue back and forth, along this line for up to 6-8 times.
Step 2
Starting at the heel again, now roll it through the middle of the foot towards the base of the 2nd or 3nd knuckle. Continue back and forth, along this line for up to 6-8 times.
Step 3
Starting at the heel once again, but this time, roll it through the pinky side of the foot along the 5th toe towards the knuckle. Continue back and forth, along this line for up to 6-8 times.
You’ve just released the 3 planes of the plantar fascia. Now stand on both feet and close your eyes and feel the difference of the left foot compared to the right foot. Repeat on the other foot. Wishing you happy feet!
