Happy Day!

Happy Fall ,

I’m emailing because this is the day I find out if my sweetie will still need me and still feed me. If you know what this means (and even if you don’t), click here and be entered to win a prize package of signed books, including a copy of Chicken Soup for the Soul The Magic of Dogs, which contains my story Golden Mystics.

The second reason for me dropping in today (she says, holding her breath)...I participated in a panel discussion. Yeah, I know. Me! Like many authors, I am an introvert. I would rather hide in the pages of what I’m writing than be in front of the camera. But the idea of the topic—Living and Writing in a Pandemic—intrigued me. And who wouldn’t want to share the stage with the awesome lineup of other incredible authors. I’ve included the link here if you’d like to check it out, but I ask forgiveness on two items: 1) Mom always said I was a wiggle worm and a fidgeter and she was right—I can’t sit still for long; and 2) my internet decided it didn’t want me playing with others, so partway through I had to rejoin via my phone. I’m not positioned as optimally as I should have been. Oh well…such is life in a pandemic.

Lastly, welcome to fall and some new reads. If you’re wondering how to fill your cooler days and nights, check out these fall romance reads.

And one other last thing...I’ve moved! Okay, so I didn’t have to pack any boxes or haul things up and down stairs, but I did have a number of hoops to jump. If you’ve ever glanced at the bottom of any newsletter you’re subscribed to, you’ve see something like Mailchimp, Mailerlite, Constant Contact, etc. These are email management tools that allow authors to maintain fan lists, automatically taking care of subscribes and (sad face) unsubscribes.

What does all that have to do with me moving? Simple. I’ve migrated off Mailchimp to SendFox, so you may notice that my emails look different.

What does all this mean to you? Nothing and everything. You will still receive whatever emails I send out, but if you’ve been around for long, you know I don’t do them all that often. Who has the time to read yet another newsletter, right? You can still unsubscribe if you’d rather not receive any more emails from me. Perhaps you’d rather follow me on Facebook, Instagram, and/or Twitter.

Happy Fall and stay safe out there!
