Happy 4th of July!!!
I hope you all have delicious and sparkly plans. My husband will be working (he's a paramedic, and hoping for a sloooowww, uneventful day:). I'll be making burgers and watching the fireworks with my girls. I feel like there should be a dessert too, but I don't have one planned. So tell me, what are your favorite Fourth of July desserts???
Also, we've got baby ducks! How fun is that! Mama is fierce and won't let me hold and snuggle them the way I want to. But that's okay. She's got three (two are underneath her in this picture).
As far as bookish news, this week I had my first ever YouTube interview with Aegelis. He was such a nice person and it was fun to talk about my Christian historical fiction story. It's set in The Netherlands during WWII.
You can watch the interview HERE. I make plenty of weird faces and look at the ceiling as though I've got cue cards staples do it (I did not). But. other than that my ceiling gazing, I was just thrilled with the interview. Have a peek. And if you'd like to read Sheltered, it's a short, novella-length story. You can begin it HERE. It's told in bite-sized "episodes." The first three are free. After that, if you've never used Kindle Vella, you'll be given about 200 more free tokens and can probably finish the story with that. So get reading!
If you're looking for other stories, I have a few for you that I thought looked excellent (though I haven't read them yet):
Pineapple Trivia Night by Amy Vansant ($3.99 or free on Kindle Unlimited)
