Happy 10th Book Birthday to Secrets and Lies 🎂

I’m celebrating by releasing an expanded anniversary edition. Carol and Paul’s experiences in Toronto really started with an event in Calgary. This edition gives readers the full story, and I’ve taken the opportunity to streamline the prose.

The ebooks are now available on multiple platforms, and the print version should release in December. I’m waiting for a proof copy.

Because I’d like to have some reviews of this new edition, here’s an offer: Read the blurb below, and if this sounds like something you’d like to read (or read again as updated) I’m offering a limited number of free downloads until December 14.

Blond woman with glasses, Toronto cityscape. Text: Secrets & lies, A Redemption's Edge Novel, Expanded Anniversary Edition, by Janet Sketchley

Secrets and Lies (Expanded Anniversary Edition)

A widow in hiding. A vengeful drug lord. And a teenage boy ready to come of age.

Carol Daniels is afraid to be found. Starting over in a new city to escape an anonymous threat, the single mother is desperate to protect her sixteen-year-old son. But a chilling phone call from a local crime boss reveals a menace she can’t outrun.

Terrified and out of options, she agrees to find her convict brother’s hidden fortune. Facing this crisis alone is overwhelming, but the one man she wants to trust has a past she can’t accept. With the clock ticking, will Carol break under pressure or survive to forge a stronger life with her son?

Romantic suspense meets Christian women’s fiction in this second book in Janet Sketchley’s Redemption’s Edge series. If you like independent heroines who love to bake, deejays and classic oldies, and a bit of high school drama, this one’s for you.

Get your copy of Secrets and Lies to uncover the truth today.

As I mentioned, I’m looking for some new reviews, posted on Goodreads and/or your preferred ebook vendor. Here’s the thing with reviews, though: they can’t be a condition of receiving the book. So if you download a copy of the book, there’s no obligation to review it. If you choose to review on an ebook sales site, please include text to the effect of “I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. I was not required to write a review, and I’m sharing my personal opinion.” (And please, no spoilers!)

Wherever this finds you, thank you for opening my email and I wish you a lovely week with some time for a good book. For my American readers, Happy Thanksgiving!

Until next time,
