Have you ever seen a lobster trap Christmas tree?
(I know some of you have!)
I was in Lunenburg recently—the real town near the fictional Green Dory Inn—and they still have their lobster trap tree on the wharf. I don’t know if they’re still lighting it at night, but at 10:15 on a Monday morning it was not illuminated.
Check it out:
The new rectangular traps make me nostalgic for the old wooden hooped ones, but the lobster fishers get the final say on what equipment they use. I’d love to see this tree lit up!

What’s happening with my Green Dory Inn series?
Revisions and edits are underway before sending to my editor in June. I’m so grateful for my editor—she knows how to make what’s good (or not so good!) better.
For me, right now, the work is finding and fixing mistakes and reducing over-used words. It can be frustrating and slow, but it’s actually something I enjoy.
What’s the title? Still TBA. Every time I say, “That’s it!” I say it again half an hour later about different words. Fatal [something] — I think!
