As the new year unfolds, may God open our hearts to rest in His Presence more and more as we learn to trust Him with the big and the little things in our lives. The world out there (and sometimes in our homes and heads) is messy. The God who speaks order into chaos may not take us out of the storms, but He promises to be with us in them. He’s been challenging me this past year that hope isn’t about trusting in desired outcomes. Hope is in Him. His character, His love, and His unchanging promises.

What’s happening with my Green Dory Inn series?

Did draft 1 reach the end before the new year?

Yes!

I typed “the end” on December 30, about 1,500 words over my target. Those last few days were quite a ride. If you were praying, thank you.

I feel good about the story, but it’ll need a lot of work before it’s ready to meet my editor. Still no title, but I have a short list. And a fall 2026 release looks do-able.
