The worst bus ride

When I lived in Morocco, I took a bus trip from Chefchauoen to Fez that was so bumpy it felt like the road was paved with logs. To make matters worst, the driver was going so fast. The man in front of me got carsick and vomited on my roommate’s overnight bag. The driver pulled over for a moment, fiddled with the doors of the luggage compartment, climbed back into the driver’s seat, and continued the trip. I didn’t think anything of this until we arrived in Fez and several passengers seemed not to be able to find their luggage in the compartment under the bus. That’s when I realized that bus probably ran over their luggage and left it on the side of the road!

This is one of the reasons why I never check a bag. So you better believe when I travel that it’s “carry-on” only.
