Can you double your learning speed?
May 11, 2026 3:15 am
Last week a Catch Every Word student asked if we can shorten the 8-week journey to 4 weeks by doubling the learning time to 30 minutes a day.
What do you think?
Will you finish faster? Yes — maybe 6 or 7 weeks.
But 4 weeks? No.
I wish 1+1=2 worked for the human brain. But we're not AI.
Your focus maxes out around 15–20 minutes. Your brain needs sleep to consolidate memory. And pushing harder often leads to frustration, not faster progress.
Consistency > intensity.
15 minutes daily + good sleep = your real shortcut.
So what if you really want to understand natives faster?
Expand your social language library — the real stuff they actually speak. That's what Watch and Learn does.
It helps your brain stop guessing and start understanding common sayings, inside jokes, and English culture.
You'll never learn a language properly without culture.
