And I personally think the understatement one is king. 🤣

• A crazy typhoon >>> Oh, it's just a little breeze.

Also, sarcasm is basically in their DNA. They can't help it.

As someone who has been heavily brainwashed by a super sarcastic British day and night and night and day — aka my British Godmother — I daresay a true Brit simply can't get through a day without making a sarcastic joke.

And they will always tell it with a straight face.

It's a bit dark, dry, and almost without any obvious comedic cues.
