My FAVORITE Homemade DONUT Recipe!

Do you enjoy donuts but know that you'll wake up feeling yucky and a couple pounds heavier in the morning if you "cheat" and have one?!

Donuts CAN BE a guilt free healthy treat.

You just have to do the right swaps as mentioned in my last email.

Here is my favorite donut recipe.

I hope you love it as much as my kiddos do!

2 cups of Einkorn Flour

2 scoops of vanilla collagen protein (I use Primal Kitchen)

4 tsps baking powder

1/3 tsp sea salt

1 cup coconut milk

1/3 cup organic unsweetened applesauce

2 pasture raised organic eggs

1/4 cup maple syrup

2 tsps vanilla extract

1/2 cup plain sheep yogurt (Bellwether is my favorite brand)

*Optional toppings-

Blueberries, strawberries, diced apples, chocolate chips (I like Lily's), sprinkles (Softies on Amazon are the best and non toxic), raw nuts.

  1. Preheat over to 375 degrees.
  2. Wisk together the flour, baking powder, collagen protein and salt
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk , applesauce, eggs, maple syrup and vanilla.
  4. Pour the liquid mixture into the flour mixture and stir until combined. Add the yogurt and stir.
  5. Spoon the batter into the donut pan, **I use a silicone one. Place or sprinkle your topping of choice on each donut.
  6. Bake for 14 minutes.
  7. Remove from over and allow to cool for 10 minutes in the pan.

I'd love to hear what toppings you used and any other tips and tricks you applied to the recipe to make it yummy for you!

Wishing You a Balanced & HORMONE-IOUS Holiday Season!
