[TMG] Your Worth vs Your Value - How are you paid?

Hi there ,

One of the biggest sources of disquiet and dissatisfaction at work is what or how we are paid.

Let me deal with the elephant in the room.

You will never be paid what you are worth by any employer or client.

You will only be paid the value that your employer or client is willing to pay.

Let me explain this with an example.

A barber can charge $15 for a haircut at his shop. For the same haircut, he can also charge $50 or more for doing it at the client’s house.

What changed?

The sense of value the client is willing to pay.

One client values the convenience of having the service brought to his house more than the time waiting in the queue at the shop.

He is willing to pay more for this.

This does not change the worth of the barber in any way.

Your worth is measured by what God has invested in you.

You are not paid by your worth.

You are paid by the assessment of value. And this changes by employer, client and location.

Don’t let a momentary sense of value define your worth.

Your assignment for today is simple.

Ask yourself, “how have I been defining my worth? Do I only see my worth based on how much I get paid for?”

Discover your worth more than what you are paid for.

As always

Keep Multiplying what you have been given by God in life.
