I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.
A few things happened to me that spurred me to go back to my songwriting & guitar.
First, I saw the video of Chris Martin & Dick Van Dyke as part of the “All My Love” song video.
Chris Martin (Yes, that guy from Coldplay) had done the video as a tribute for Dick’s 99th birthday.
The whole emotion reminded me of why I love music and write it…writing music helps me capture that words alone cannot.
Later in the week, I watched a clip of Jamie Foxx telling the story of how his then 14-year-old daughter's guitar playing helped his recovery in the hospital.
I was reminded of the gift that I have. A gift I love to use but I haven’t used it quite often in recent times.
A gift I will be using more.
Things I Learnt
1 - Keeping a Good Network: During the week, I had to reach out to a couple of people with whom I did business more than a decade ago.
I needed them to come through for me.
And they did.
They did because they still carry with them the good experience they had working with me during our previous transaction.
One of them even had a not-so-good experience with the firm I worked with afterwards.
But that did not affect my relationship with him.
It is possible to have win-win relationships in business.
They keep the wheeling of a good network well-oiled.
2 - A God Who Is Near: I’m in a season of life where I need more courage than I have previously needed.
More than that, I need God more than before.
And I have found Him more near than before.
Maybe it’s because I call on Him more than I have needed to do in the past.
Courage to keep pushing forward and resting more in God, the twin combination that I am living by.
As I shared a few weeks back, the word for my new season of life is “Rest”.
My Rest Season is calling for Courage from me and Trust in God from me.
I’m finding God as a God is nearer than before.
Under the shadow of God Almighty.
