Faith & Life Lessons – July 28, 2024

image

Welcome to the July 28th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.

You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.

I finally got back on Facebook this week.

Facebook blocked my account for about 2 months.

The reason?

A precautionary security measure.

It happened as I was planning the marketing campaign for my book launch.

I smiled when it happened.

Why?

Because it just meant I had to adapt my marketing strategy.

Without Facebook, I got about 100 people to register for the book launch.

And the story goes on.

Life is always about adapting to changing circumstances.

Pivoting is the name of the game.

I will keep playing this.

Playing to win.

Things I Learnt

1-The Impossible Request: Have you ever been asked to do an impossible task?

I have one of those on my 2024 goals.

To get me closer to killing the impossible goals, I prayed to God for the impossible request.

But it wasn’t a flimsy one.

It was one in the service of the goal.

A goal I believed God set for me.

During the week, God met my impossible request. Taking away any big excuse for me not to go all in to reach the goal.

The whole thing is a testament to the fact that if a goal is inspired by God, He will provide the resources to get it done.

No matter how impossible the resources sound like.

I still the hard work to do.

But this takes me some steps closer.

Thank you, God.

2 - History can be a Good Encourager: One of the things I see now and again is the overwhelm that comes from listening to current news.

Actually, it’s a combination of social media and the news cycle.

The most repeated news is the not-so-encouraging ones. And they start to steal hope.

But history can be a good encourager.

History means we won in the past and that is why we are still here today.

A history that brings encouragement.

My history is filled with times that I won.

Yes, it may have the not-so-good moments.

I am here because the not-so-good moments were not as big as I was.

History tells me I can repeat history to my advantage.

That is my encouragement.

Now and in the days to come.

I am making history based on the history I have lived through.

Postscript

May current news not discourage you so you forget how your history of past victories means you can win today. Amen
