Faith & Life Lessons | Power to Live on the Next Level

image

Welcome to the May 24th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.

You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.

I am trying to do something difficult this past week.

I am trying to do less.

Why?

Because I heard God tell me I am doing too much.

This is a bit confusing for me.

My reason? I have seen the results I am looking for.

And for that reason, I want to put in more effort.

How do I reconcile not seeing results and being asked to do less?

I still don’t know the answer to that one. I hope that I can discover that answer.

I want to be faithful.

Faithful to how God wants me to live life.

There is no use coming to the end of a season and realising that there was a better way of living.

I spent my week asking myself - is this where I need to do less?

I am going to be asking that question more and more.

Committed to living faithfully.

Things I Learned

1-Knowing My Limits: No matter how passionate I am about results, I need to be reminded of my limits.

Let me reframe it.

I need to remind myself to stay within the boundaries of things I can conveniently own.

I had a couple of engagements with some people at work.

I realised that I was demanding more than they were willing to give to the big goals that I could see clearly.

I am learning to let it go and just move on.

I am relearning my limits.

The boundaries I must stay out of.

It is not my usual self. I always want to push for all that is possible.

But I can’t want it more than the people want it.

Letting go and becoming willing to accept how much others want what they want.

2-The Spiritual Power for the Next Level: I have spiritual power for not just the workplace.

I have spiritual power for life outside the primary walls of the workplace.

My mind goes back to when I was younger, when I wanted to be a rural missionary.

I was focused on spiritual power for healing the sick, bringing prophecy, teaching the word and so on.

Now I am more focused on spiritual power for navigating the workplace.

But I have access to spiritual power for both worlds.

I just need to be open to do both worlds faithfully.

This is what I want to run with.

In my next level.

Working with the ministry in the workplace and the world out there.

Postscript

May you always find spiritual power for living life fully at every season of life. Amen
