Welcome to the April 6th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.
You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.
I missed doing my devotions a couple of mornings this week.
Yes, I have reasons.
Sleeping late, tired from a busy day and the like.
Reasons but they will not become my excuses.
Why?
Excuses become crutches that stop me from doing what has to be done.
Yes, I still have to be committed to my devotions.
Committed to living closer to God.
This is what my devotions do for me.
I want to be close to God. I want to live as a friend of God.
The highest calling.
Lived out every day
And it includes a daily devotion to making time for God to be first.
Alone with God.
Things I Learnt
1 - The Promise of Becoming Better: Last week I spoke about something that God wants to keep doing
No matter the results
Well, I started doing it and realized something.
This is something I have to get better at doing by doing it.
The first reward for doing it is that I get better at doing it.
The first reward for doing it is in doing it.
Simple and plain
That’s what I’m living.
2-The Freedom to let Ideas go: I had a few of my proposals not accepted
Not because they were not good.
But rather because they did not win.
Maybe in the past, I would have felt bad about it. Yes, if I only live and die by a few ideas.
I have embraced the lifestyle of being so good that an un-accepted proposal just becomes input for another proposal in the future.
Yep. I have learnt not to hold on to ideas like babies. I treat them as opportunities for people to see what value I can bring.
When an idea is not accepted, it means I have to bring my next best idea next time around.
And that’s what I keep doing.
Bring up more ideas as some ideas don't cross the finish line.
Postscript
May you confidently live believing today’s rejected idea is the seed for tomorrow’s better idea. Amen
