Welcome to the January 5th edition of Faith & Life Lessons.
You will see this email full of tidbits from my week. My goal is simple. I hope that from how I live my life, you can find a thing or two that helps you as you try to live a life that matters. I am always trying to do one thing - make Christ-focused decisions in love, work, and life. And this was my week.

The Story of My Week.
Happy New Year.
This year can open with as many possibilities as you open your mind to and are determined to do the work to achieve.
I am determined and committed to only 3 goals.
Aside from my goals, I have habits I am committed to.
I have vision statements that I live by in key life areas.
These form the foundation of how I show up in my most important life areas.
Add to that, the value statements that are the representation of the values that I hold dear to me.
The combination of all these aligns with the highest expression of how I want to live - I want to live as a North Star.
I am not confused about how I have to show up.
I show up in line with my highest values, driven by vision, pursuing my goals and committed to being a North Star in every environment I find myself.
My 2025 is going to be a great year.
Things I Learnt
1-Keep Showing Up to Serve: I was surprised to get a sales alert on January 1st - someone had paid for a copy of my book - Winning Beyond Borders - Achieving Success at Work in a New Country.
What was the surprise? Someone chose to develop and improve himself on the first day of the year instead of just chilling. I was honoured to be the source of how the person chose to win in 2025.
On January 2nd, someone else paid for coaching with me.
It showed the level of drive that people were committing to making 2025 a great year for them.
It reminded me of the need to keep showing up to serve.
This is one of the commitments I am making to myself.
Showing up and finding more ways to serve.
My family and the people that look to me for becoming better in life.
2 - Having the Right People in Your Corner: During the week, I got a message from my spiritual director and a call from my business coach.
The call from my business coach focused on the areas he wanted to push me in the first 3 months of the year.
These areas aligned with my vision and goal for my practice.
A clear case of having the right people in your corner.
People who are taking active steps to get me closer to my destination.
My spiritual director’s message was to set up the next meet-up.
That is another layer of accountability in my life.
I am going to reach out to my executive mentor. We need to aim for some high mountains on the horizon.
I see myself on something bigger.
Postscript
May you hold on to a bigger vision of who you can become and what you can push yourself to achieve in this new season. Amen
