Hi there,
Here's my weekly update for Sep 21, 2026...
Leading a Department When You're Not the Expert - with Stephanie Mitchell
Stephanie Mitchell was an ICU nurse who had moved into hospital administration when the C-suite called her in and asked her to take over the laboratory temporarily - a department she knew nothing about, at a moment when outside consultants were arriving to cut costs. She said yes. Then she spent four months working night and day while lab staff wondered what a nurse was doing there, and more than once thought: I shouldn't have said yes.
