Not Hungry In The Morning? Here’s Why
Jun 19, 2026 1:07 am
Happy Thursday, !
Ever wake up and realize you’re not hungry enough to eat breakfast?
Here’s why that happens, and if it matters. 👉
Here are a few common reasons you wake up without an appetite. 👉
1. You ate too much or too late last night
Your body’s still digesting.
Try finishing your last meal a little earlier and see if your hunger returns.
2. You go straight for caffeine
Coffee can suppress your appetite.
Try drinking water or eating breakfast first, then your caffeine.
3. Your stress hormones are in charge
When you’re stressed, hunger can shut down.
Your body is just in “alert” mode instead of “rest and digest.”
Does it even matter?
Sometimes, no…
BUT if skipping breakfast leaves you tired, craving sugar, or overeating at night, then it’s worth paying attention.
Here’s what to try:
• Eat a smaller, protein-rich meal within an hour of waking.
• Drink a glass of water before coffee.
• Move a little (stretching or a short walk) to wake up your appetite.
