THE JE LETTER

Overcoming fear and internal resistance
Fear is an inevitable part of life, it's not a bad thing exactly, If we learn how to grab the lessons that it can bestow.
Too many are paralyzed by fear, they let it make them freeze.
You have the power to use fear to inspire new levels of evolution in your life.
It's a great trick when you know how to shift tough feelings into a form of fuel to overcome inner resistance.
The situations we deal with in life are happening for us, they occur specifically to teach us a certain lesson, you are not a victim of life!
So any uncomfortable feeling comes with a great lesson which is a wonderful thing in itself.
Shift the mindset to appreciate uncomfortable moments due to your knowing that you'll be growing though solving it.
What kind of uncomfortable feelings are you doing with? Ponder it.
Reply to this email if you want to speak about it.
Reflect & Adapt
The foundation to overcoming fear lies in trusting that you'll feel better when you accomplish that which you're scared of.
This means we need self belief!
If you aim to overcome fear, this requires taking action and leaning into the situation and for that you need to have faith in your ability.
So what can we do to build self belief?
There's no magic solution.
We can go about building self belief in many ways and combining a multitude of methods is most likely going to get you great results.
A few ways could be training the body, educating yourself, learning new skills, sticking to your word, aiming at your potential and so on.
If you don't take any of these actions I think it'll be difficult to have any self belief.
See our self image is determined by what we do, in the early stages cognitive development.
In later stages our self image links to what we have and eventually it's about who you are.
It's normal to have all three of these aspects mix, as even when you're developed and are being, it's important that you do certain things and have certain things.
How you see yourself matters so much because humans are usually projecting, it's like we are all wearing costumes and we are asking each other "is my costume on straight?".
If you like how you see yourself and don't need others approval, you're an exception...
You're probably showing your true colors which is a sign of self belief.
Many humans have such low self belief they seek out external validation to feel good about themselves, this is a tricky situation.
It's nuanced, at some degree it's healthy to have feedback and reflect upon what respected individuals think of you.
Then there's the unhealthy part when you NEED external validation and you get hung up on any random persons opinion.
The solution lies in your ability to rewire the mind and adapt.
A Fresh Angle
If you have lots of uncomfortable feelings, it's not necessarily a negative thing.
There's this lovely thing called a re frame, this is when we take another look at something from a different angle.
In relation to an uncomfortable feeling, you can find out how overcoming that feeling can help you and use that as inspiration to execute on whatever the task may be.
So let's say part of you wants to go and talk to the girl, yet another part of you is paralyzed by the idea of doing it.
You can first acknowledge the opposing forces inside of you, and think about it, where is this coming from?
And from there you can identify why going and talking to her is a good idea.
A common trap here is you'll create negative delusions of the future within your mind...
Watch out for that, choose not to accept those negative delusions.
The pain of rejection is much less than wondering what if forever...
And who knows, maybe it pans out in your favor.
By overcoming your inner resistance and choosing to speak with the girl you're destroying your inner demons.
I don't think anybody would choose to lack confidence if they had a magic gene give them an ultimatum.
Only you can build the confidence for yourself, it's a total inside job.
See, you can feel good from buying materialistic things to impress others, but unfortunately confidence goes much deeper than that.
The TRUEST forms of confidence come through the being stage, when you simply know who you are, and are completely proud of that.
So it's a beautiful thing when you go full circle and begin to understand how intertwined uncomfortable feelings are with positive ones.
Without deeply knowing both ends of the spectrum you'll overlook the beauty that each individual state of mind is.
The Frame Matters
Finding the lesson in a challenge definitely isn't easy.
Our emotions usually arise and directly lower our intelligence, so it's easier for us to act irrationally and loose our cool.
It's a great skill to develop, being a solution seeker.
The foundation to finding answers has to be your degree of awareness.
If you can identify something that needs to be fixed before it's broken you've given yourself a head start.
You are ahead of the game.
This reduces stress, gives you more time and flexibility, which usually improves the quality of your thinking and clear thinking will help you get it solved as quick as possible.
What I've just laid out is a web, an interconnected network of how the law of cause and effect works. And this reminds me of how valuable consciously differentiating between what is in your control and what is out of your control is.
See, how you think links to how you feel, if you think you're ugly you're going to feel un-confident. How you feel links to how you act, if you feel un-confident you're going to walk with your head down and shoulders slumped.
Of course this isn't an absolute, sometimes the un-confident person is the loud and rude bully, so feelings can transpire in many different ways.
I'm writing and speaking in terms of averages.
So when you're seeking for the lesson within a circumstance that's unpleasant, we must be aware of the traps that can derail us from grasping what is meant to be learned.
So many of us are distracted in life.
Not sure about why we are here and what we're meant to be doing.
The simplest way I can sum up your mission without knowing you personally is it's your duty to figure out your gifts and learn how to use them to improve humanity.
Recognize Growth
I mentioned educating yourself earlier, because it's the root to your life improving.
A human who is not sharpening the skills of the body and mind is a human that is going the wrong direction.
We are meant to be on an adventure, life is an amazing game if you open your mind up to it's deepest meanings.
Humans who have something meaningful in mind and are building toward that thing, while enjoying the process of every step, this is a human that is flowing with life.
We don't want it too hard, nor too easy.
I can hear some people saying, yeah I'd like an easy life...
But let's unravel what would unfold. If it's too easy you'll regress, gain weight, let your mind slip, loose your reason and so fourth.
And if you think being an overweight slob who can sit and do nothing all day is an easy life, that's just not so.
Your mind would become the prison in that case, just because your physical situation is abundant does not mean the quality of your mind would be the same.
When it comes to educating yourself, a great strategy seems to be following your interest.
Some of you may not be sure what you're interested in, then start with what doesn't interest you and reverse engineer.
It's helpful for me to dive deeply into a certain topic for a period of time, to focus a majority of my work sessions on one specific area until I feel it's time to move on.
I like the idea of mastering a skill then going on, rather than trying to master multiple skills at once.
Of course once you've established a system It makes sense to slowly increase certain skills, this is once the foundation is sturdy.
You overcome fear and self doubt through action, creating a system for going about your priority task is a great way to begin destroying fear.
You can build the foundation of your system off this idea:
Work in 50m sessions on your most important lever moving task for 4-5 hours a day.
Bet On Self
If you want to generate self belief, you're in for one amazing adventure.
See, we are our own biggest enemy, if we lack awareness we poison our bodies and mind though poor fuel and we don't pay attention to the quality of our mind.
To build a strong self image we have to admit to our previous acts of self sabotage, and commit to being radically honest with ourselves.
The mind is tricky and we can end up creating rationalizations for our poor habits if we are not aware. You build mental strength by choosing the actions that require you overcoming inner resistance on a daily basis.
If you want a detailed system for doing this, shoot me a DM!
Life is a counter intuitive game, the easy actions that you take that instantly give you feelings of pleasure usually are the acts of sabotage.
While the tough task which call for delaying gratification and exerting massive effort are often the acts that leave us with lasting feelings of goodness.
So understand that each choice you make follows the law of cause and effect.
Every thought leads to a certain feeling and that links to an action, and then it starts again as the action leads you back to a thought.
Therefore it's important to pay attention to how you're thinking and why you're thinking in that manner. To be unaware of your thoughts is similar to driving a car with your eyes closed.
You can build awareness of thoughts by identifying what activities get you thinking a certain way, the gym usually makes me think positive, so does reading, writing, cleaning, cold showers, eating healthy, walking, conversation with good people, studying and so on.
These acts make me feel good because I value taking care of my mind and body, this alludes to the fact that our actions should be aligned with our values.
You will feel uncomfortable emotions if your actions and values are not meshing.
Consider Testing This
It's crucial that when you consume information you put it into action, It's my job to help you do that. There is no single best way to overcome fear, but there are a multitude of methods one can play with.
What are you scared of and why? - Use this to identify the detailed thing that's causing your fears
How will you feel if you take action and overcome this fear? - Write and think about the positive feeling you'll get from pushing through the fear
1/ Journal small wins daily – rewrite limiting beliefs – do a weekly Sunday review
2/ Commit to becoming the absolute best version of yourself
3/ Break that vision down into a list of priorities from ranked in order of importance
4/ Put your priority task into your daily system, identify the lever movers
5/ Do 4-5 hours of focused work on your level movers daily (less hours if you have the 9-5)
By doing this you'll be forced into action and that is the remedy for fear, it may be extra challenging at the start but it will get more enjoyable as you go.
You get stronger not by wishing for strength, but by choosing to push through your feelings of fear.
Conclusion
When you know what you're aiming at and have a clear reason for why, it's much easier to do hard things.
Without a powerful purpose it can be tempting to cave to your lower pleasure seeking self.
Get real clear on what your BURN is, identify that fire inside and get detailed on what's causing it to remain lit.
Is it to make the people who believe in you proud?
To fulfill your potential?
To carry the cross for every soul that has ever been mistreated?
