What happens when you thank *all* of your choices?

Gratitude even for your "bad" choices

#333 – What happens when you thank *all* of your choices?

It's tempting to regret our choices that led to outcomes we didn't want. We call these "bad" choices, forgetting that choice and outcome are two separate things.

We also forget that not wanting something doesn't make it negative: I didn't want to drag a painful ankle for six weeks after my skin carcinoma was removed, but we can agree: the surgery was the right choice.

But because my Ego insists on mixing everything together (choice, outcome, and resulting feeling), it triggers unpleasant feelings inside when the outcome wasn't what I'd wished for.

To spare me a similar experience in the future, my Ego:

My son could be "rejecting" the choices he made that led him to his 234 days spent in jail. He could be kicking himself and feeling like a victim of his behavior.

Instead, he thanks everything that's happened since he woke up on that fateful October 14, 2024.

By thanking his choices (even those that could look like mistakes), he refuses to claim either the victim's or the executioner's role.

And so, he stays grounded in his personal power.

What "bad" choices will you thank to vacate the victim's role and take back your power?

Love,

Carolina
