CRS Beta fixes barcode issues

We have created a new CRS beta to address some issues with the barcode not being displayed on the invoices. This was related to a 3rd party web service we have been using for over 10 years closing their online barcode service. This beta also includes a fix to the template editor crashing or not opening (also related to the barcode service).

We will have a new release ready shortly once our intensive testing has been completed in our own stores but if the barcode issue has affected your usage please give the beta a try. As always, the beta may have some minor issues or glitches and I recommend ensuring you back up your C:\Users\[Your User profile]\Documents\CRS folder and SQL database. What do we have in store for the future of CRS?


We are working on a new version of CRS that will work online and have its own native apps (Mac, PC, Android, iOS). Right now, we are working on a new database system that will work online and offline. For example, if you are on a customer site or without the internet then CRS will continue to work and it will sync back to the main database when your connection is restored again. As many CRS customers prefer to keep local access own offline database then a "local-only database" will also be an option. In the meantime, CRS v2 will continue to be maintained with some request features being implemented but our main efforts are going to be focused on CRS v3.
