Day 4: Your signature move (the personal branding that closes deals)
Feb 12, 2026 1:34 pm
Hey there,
Day 4 of Valentine's week. Today we're talking about your signature - not just the one at the bottom of your email, but your entire personal brand.
Here's the truth: cold outreach gets you meetings. But your personal brand closes the deal before you even hop on the call.
When someone books a call with you, what do they do first?
They Google you. They check your LinkedIn. They scroll your Twitter. They watch your YouTube videos.
If they find nothing - or worse, inconsistent garbage - you're losing deals.
Here's what most people get wrong:
They think personal branding means posting motivational quotes and selfies at the gym.
It doesn't.
Personal branding in 2026 means being the go-to expert in your niche before your prospect ever talks to you.
The Evertrend Authority Engine (works on any platform)
This framework comes from my YouTube funnel work, but it applies to LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and even TikTok.
You need 3 types of content:
1. Actionable content - Step-by-step tutorials that solve real problems your ICP has. This drives high-intent traffic. People searching for solutions find you.
2. Educational content - Frameworks, explainers, and deep dives into strategy. This positions you as a thought leader, not just a service provider. Decision-makers want to understand the "why".
3. Social proof content - Case studies, client results, and real-world outcomes. This builds credibility and shortens sales cycles.
The split that works: 58% evergreen, 42% trending
Evergreen content builds long-term authority. Trending content captures spikes and new audiences.
Most people only do one or the other. You need both.
Here's how this looks on Twitter/X:
- Tweet 5x per day (3-4 about your service, 1-2 personal/opinions)
- Comment 10-15 times per day on relevant posts
- Pinned thread documenting your journey
- 2 auto-DMs per month with value (free guide, breakdown, etc.)
- 1-2 long-form threads per week (algorithm pushes for watch time)
On LinkedIn:
Same framework. Share actionable tips, case studies, and frameworks. Comment on posts from your ICP. Post consistently.
On YouTube:
Action-based tutorials, educational breakdowns, and social proof case studies. This is the most powerful platform for B2B trust-building.
On Instagram:
Only worth it if you're selling to coaches or B2C. Otherwise, post 1-2x per week just to keep up appearances.
Profile optimization matters:
- Bio: (what you do) | (something personal)
- Clean profile pic that's recognizable
- Pinned content showing your best work or journey
Why this works:
When a prospect Googles you after getting your cold email, they see proof. They see authority. They see you're not just another agency spamming inboxes.
You've already won before the call even starts.
The secret weapon: Founder-led content
Put yourself on camera. Share your face. People trust real practitioners, not faceless brands.
Your founder authority increases engagement, brand recall, and inbound leads.
Now here's the hack most people miss: The Super Signature
I recently learned this from Sharran Srivatsaa (Acquisition.com's President), who learned it from Dean Jackson.
Your email signature could be making you money in your sleep.
Most people waste it:
"Best regards,
Divij Sharma
Founder, ThinkScale Studio
Dead end. No call to action. No next step.
Here's what actually works:
Below your normal signature, add this:
"P.S. Whenever you're ready, here are 4 ways I can help you:"
Then list 4 options. Free to paid. Low commitment to high commitment.
Real example:
- Way 1: Join my free cold outreach community (1,200+ members)
- Way 2: Download my "Subject Line Swipe File" (free)
- Way 3: Enroll in Cold Outreach Mastery Cohort (INR 29,500)
- Way 4: Book a 1-on-1 lead gen strategy call (reply to this email)
Why this is genius:
Most people hate being sold to. But they love buying when they're ready.
Your super signature lets them choose. No pressure. Just options.
In your emails, you give pure value. You help. You educate. You share.
Then your super signature quietly lists 4 ways they can buy.
You send 30-50 emails per week. That's 2,000+ emails per year. Every single one becomes an invitation to go deeper.
Common mistakes to avoid:
- Over-reliance on product demos (low engagement)
- No clear content pillars (random posting)
- Weak CTAs (only "Book a Demo" instead of nurturing with value)
- Not leveraging founder/expert credibility

P.S. Cold outreach without personal brand is like dating without social media - people will check, and if they find nothing, they ghost. Reply "AUTHORITY" and I'll show you how to fix it.
P.P.S. Start using the super signature today. Every email you send becomes a soft pitch without being pushy.
