Hi neighbors,
Below is a copy of the letter regarding annual dues and our annual meeting that should be arriving in your physical mailboxes this week. Please mark your calendars to join us for our annual meeting on March 23rd, at 9:00 AM.
Dear Huntingdon POA,
These years keep blurring into each other. It seems like we were writing this same annual letter to the neighborhood for 2023 just yesterday. We wanted to reach out to everyone to update you on our POA. Our annual meeting is scheduled for March 23, 2024, at 9 AM at the Pool Pavilion to discuss any issues as a POA and vote for the Board members.
Also, our annual POA dues are due currently. The yearly dues are $350.00 per household/door. If you have a duplex, the amount is $700.00, and if you have an apartment complex your dues are owed per door. You can start sending those checks in now and remember that we will only be able to issue keycards and fobs or turn on your access to the pool once we have your annual dues paid.
You may also pay online by Credit Card, Debit Card, or eCheck (nominal fee applies**). Just visit www.hpoaonline.org/payment.html and follow the instructions to pay your annual dues. Bookmark this site, as you can also pay for any remainder owed on your Special Assessment – if you owe one - here and download the app for convenience. Once you create an account, the system will remember you.
We’ve enclosed a statement with an itemized amount of what you currently owe (dues), including any installment payments still due for the pool special assessment.
We will work to get the pavilion ready before the end of April or early May at the latest. We typically turn the water off to the pool house during winter and will have it turned on before late April. As always, we have some minor maintenance items at the pool, and pavilion that will be addressed this Spring, including minor tile work. Other than that, we should be good to open the pool up around Memorial Day if not sooner. We have enclosed a copy of our pool rules for your review. Please let us know if you have any questions.
During our annual meeting, we will discuss ways to improve the neighborhood moving forward and get more HOA members involved. We welcome any new ideas that you have, to help make our neighborhood the best that it can be.
We will have a couple of POA Cleanup days where you can help us rake leaves and clean up around the pool, pond, and other Greenspace areas in the subdivision. Stay tuned for more information.
Concerning the pond, everything seems to be in order. As we have mentioned in the past, we are thankful to have Lake and Pond expert Marson Nance as a neighbor. Please be careful when walking in that area. If there are any changes with the pond, we will let you know.
Reminder, if any streetlights are currently out, please let us know to contact the electric company and let them know. Both Ozarks Electric and SWEPCO serve our POA. If you see the light out, we need the Pole # and street address (usually on a stamped metal medallion on the lower third of the pole) and what company services it.
We also want to remind everyone that Campers and Trailers ARE NOT allowed in the driveway or on the street in our Subdivision. It’s OK to park campers at your house while preparing for a trip or if you have someone in from out of town and they are passing through. Please just give the Board a heads-up via email. Trailers can be put in your garage or backyard but not in plain sight. If you are working on a project or need some time before you can move it please let us know. We enforce this across the subdivision to be fair with everyone. Let us know if you have any questions. Also, try not to park your car on the grass or dirt. If you need extra space to park cars you can add river stone in an area and use that for parking or you can pave an additional parking space. Please be sure to clear it with the Architectural chair.
I want to personally thank everyone on the POA Board for their tireless effort and hard work. Shout out to Adam Hedman - VP, Shannon Williams - Treasurer, Chad Cox - Secretary, Clint Schneckloth – Hospitality, Jesse Smyers - Pool, Fin Johnson - Greenspace, and Del Brooks - Architectural. Everyone on the Board has been a tremendous help. Also, I want to thank our neighbors Lucas Regnier and Joel Farthing both continue to provide wisdom, legal counsel, and advice to the Board.
I want to encourage some of our new neighbors to come out to our Annual Meeting, meet some cool people, and consider volunteering for any position on the board that needs to be filled.
That's all I have for right now. I'm thankful for the opportunity to serve this great neighborhood, and I look forward to our continued growth as a community.
Be well,
