❌ GB - Belarus World Cup qualifier off

The BBF announced earlier this week they would not be travelling to Belarus for their FIBA World Cup 2023 qualifier, with FIBA confirming today that the game is officially postponed. The home fixture in Newcastle is still scheduled to take place, but the way things are, it feels like anything could happen...

✨ Antonio Williams making his presence felt in Plymouth

Plymouth City Patriots new signing Antonio Williams has provided quite the boost for their side and taking over our highlights reels too, landing back to back number 1 plays of the week after his game winner vs Manchester, and then a disgusting poster this week against Cheshire. Must say it's good to see more teams moving away from Keemotion's automated cameras for production, Plymouth and Manchester being the latest sides, joining Leicester, London, and Bristol. Makes such a difference to the viewing experience (though, ironically, Plymouth's cameras missed Rowell Graham's 2OT forcing three on Friday!).

🏙 Birmingham renovation

I've spent the day in Birmingham with the main man Pete Simmons from 5or6 scouting out courts for the next basketball court renovation. We've got a couple short-listed now that are the most likely options (Nechells double court near Star City and a court/space in Ladywood) but if you have any nominations - ideally a double court with space for seating, not a multi-use games area and extra points for floodlights, let me know! We will finalise the choice in the next couple of weeks. Did make me realise the poor state of most outdoor courts and how lucky we are in London to have Clapham, Turnpike Lane and Finsbury Park...every court we saw today in Birmingham was seriously worse for wear.
