3-Point Thursday #298

Oct 20, 2022 12:09 pm

Hey,

Hope all is well your end. We're deep in prep for another event end of this month and then freedom awaits!

This week's 3-pointer:

🦁 Lions pick up historic EuroCup win

Lions became the first British team to win in the EuroCup since 2004 with an 80-75 win over Trento on Tuesday night at the Copper Box. It was a big bounce back win after an opening defeat to Hapoel Tel Aviv last week. Great to see 2500+ fans in the Copper Box on a Tuesday night - and actually had an awesome atmosphere down the stretch! Off the back of it all, BT Sport have done a deal with the EuroCup for Lions games, plus the Final Four.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Sochan sets record in NBA debut

Jeremy Sochan became the youngest opening-night start in Spurs history in his NBA debut last night, at just 19 years and 152 days. He finished with 4 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals and I have no doubt will fly the flag for the UK all season!

πŸ›  Suggestions on building a passing target?

We are running a skills challenge the weekend after next and need to make some type of cylinder for players to be able to pass the ball into. I've been looking up NBA All-Star weekend references, which are always bespoke pieces. Essentially need some type of circular hole at waist height with a net attached - got any bright ideas?

That wraps up another week, as always, hit reply with any thoughts, questions or anything else!

With gratitude,

Sam
