Hi everyone,
Happy New Year!
The new year promises to be one of great change for several reasons, but that’s another newsletter. As far as the healthcare landscape, it appears that we will also have great change and then more change. One thing to remember, in times of growth, is that any change is never permanent, and there is always more to come.
HAAZ has been busy building the new website and working with the Arizona Board of Homeopathy and Integrated Medicine Examiners on the New License procedures. We would like to thank Trinity Health Hub for their assistance in getting the word out, and for hosting several discussions for the new license. We have several more Q&A times scheduled on the Hub and you may attend if you want to. These are free and we’ll answer your questions and assist you in filling out your forms for the AZ license. Please attend a Q&A session coming up for more information!
HAAZ will have an open meeting on January 14th at 5:30 pm (MST). We are looking for people who want to assist us in representing the Licensees of Arizona (LHP) and (DH) and promoting Homeopathy in the up and coming new healthcare landscape in AZ and the US. Please email me at: [email protected] if you would like to attend this meeting.
We need these Board Members!
Member services - someone who keeps track of memberships, and builds the membership directory on the website, and assists people with this. Someone who contacts new licensees.
Webinar/CEU services - someone who will set up the webinars; works with ACHENA for accreditation/and - or the Board. The LHP licenses requires 15 CEU's a year, and we want to provide at least this many. This includes setting it up on the website, including it in the newsletter, setting up the zoom, and so on.

Updates and Info about the AZ License - LHP and DH
Legislation passed in Spring of 2024 creating a new credentialing opportunity for homeopaths who do not have a license in another healthcare discipline. The new AZ Licensed Homeopathic Practitioner (LHP) license grants the legal right to practice homeopathy in Arizona.
Quick Facts
* Within Arizona, the AZ license (LHP) grants the legal right to practice homeopathic medicine
* Outside of Arizona, neither the CCH credential nor the AZ license grant a legal right to practice homeopathic medicine
* Health freedom states grant freedom from prosecution for the practice of homeopathy, which is not the same as a legal right to practice homeopathy. This freedom from prosecution in Health Freedom states is not related in any way to either the CCH credential or the AZ license.
**** Reasons why homeopaths who reside outside AZ have chosen to obtain the AZ license (LHP)
* Consumers respect and recognize licensure. While clients can be clearly told that the license applies to AZ, they can still value the quality of this credential in their practitioner in any state
* The AZ license is a government backed attestation of appropriate skills for homeopathic practice. If the practitioner should be involved in a situation with a client complaint, this government back attestation of skills could benefit the practitioner
* Although it is new to the homeopathic community now, the LHP credential will communicate to others in the profession that the practitioner is appropriately skilled for homeopathic practice, and referrals can be made with confidence to that practitioner
* In the future, we expect that licensure will expand, through compact agreements to honor the AZ license, or through duplication of the license (or something similar) in other states. The growing body of LHP credentialed practitioners can support this expansion
Congratulations to the first 20 licensed homeopaths, approved in November 2024. Another round of licenses will be granted next week!
Thanks for your support - please join us in moving the profession forward!
