There is quite a bit to report – please read!

Arizona Licensing Update

The State of Arizona licensed 19 Homeopathic Practitioners and 1 Doctor of Homeopathy this week! There are more applications coming to be processed and people to be licensed. This is a historic moment in history as homeopaths haven’t been licensed in about 100 years! Congrats to all!

More info on: homeopath.az.gov and homeopathyaz.com

Additionally, Trinity Health Hub is sponsoring discussions on Monday evenings for the next few weeks. Check it out on: Trinityhealthhub.com

HAAZ will have a general member meeting in January. We are looking for board members as we have quite a bit of work to do next year with the new licensing. The State of Arizona is also looking for a newly licensed Homeopathic Practitioner to represent us at the State Board -  PLEASE let me know if you are interested in this appointed position. Requirements are: Arizona resident. The ability to speak in front of the Board and the Public. Knowledge of Homeopathy, accreditation, standards and competencies. The ability to be vocal about what we need and want from this board. The ability to attend the Board meetings (usually online) monthly and as needed.

Stay tuned for the date. Please let me know if you have interest.

Spectrum of Homeopathy publication – asking for our help.

Narayana-Verlag will cease production of our magazine at the end of this year and we, as editors-in-chief, want to publish the magazine under the slightly modified title HOMEOPATHIC SPECTRUM with the Dutch publisher Emryss-Verlag from 2025.

We urgently need your support for this project. It can only be realized with a sufficient number of subscribers.

We promise to continue to present the range of traditional and modern approaches in homeopathy and to work on a systematic, practice-orientated materia medica with our themed issues.

In the first edition after the relaunch, for example, we want to present the nightshade plants in the light of the plant systems of Michal Yakir, Jan Scholten and Rajan Sankaran. Our eminent international authors will continue to write for you.

You can now order your 2025 subscription from the new publisher via the website www.emryss.com/spectrum

It comprises two issues per year and costs 38.00 euros (+postage). Payment is made by credit card. If there are not enough subscriptions, you will receive a refund.

Please forward the link to the order page to your homeopathic friends and colleagues. We would like to thank you for your loyalty and would be delighted if, thanks to your support, we could continue to cover the development of modern homeopathy on a sustainable basis with the new specialist journal HOMEOPATHIC SPECTRUM.

Alan Schmukler and Hpathy.com have requested articles from anyone who wants to submit to them.

Here are the asks:

Cases:

For chronic cases we prefer at least a 6 month follow up.  For acutes, 1-2 weeks is fine. Length is roughly 1.5 - 4 pages. Please include date of intake, relevant history and symptoms, your reasons for choosing remedies and approximate dates of follow ups.

Articles:

Articles can be on any topic in homeopathy and should be geared toward an audience of professional homeopaths and homeopathy medical students. Length is 450 – 1400 words (1.5 - 4 pages).

Please send a brief bio of yourself (180 words or less), and if possible, your photo.

Send your cases / articles to him at:   [email protected]

From Marc Edwards, MD

You may have seen this survey come from NASH or somewhere else – and Dr. Edwards has asked that we distribute it in our newsletter.

This anonymous online survey takes 6 minutes to complete. The results of the study could help illuminate issues related to practitioner health, integrative practice, and clinical outcomes. They could potentially advance the prestige and perceived value of Homeopathy and other complementary and integrative practices. You will be updated on the key findings once we understand their significance for our membership.
